Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, and writer. O'Hara is the proud recipient of many distinctions which include a Genie Award. She was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara first became known for her acting in the year 1974, when she was a member of The Second City in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also in her main cast on the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). The following year, O'Hara and Candy began work on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984) and she earned the attention of critics for both her work as a comic actress as well as a writer. She was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award
for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
